Why I Decided to Read Robert Jordan’s The Wheel of Time

I already touched on my interest in the Wheel of Time series in my post asking if the soon to come Amazon series could be the successor to Game of Thrones. But since then I have read three and a half books in the 14 book long Wheel of Time and I came to a conclusion; I need to document this journey because it’s going to be a wild one. So, I started making “video diaries” to get my thoughts out there and I had planned to release them all after I finished the series. Turns out this video would

‘Shazam!’ Scene Explores One of The Common Themes In Comics (Minor Spoiler)

If there is one thing that I have written about in the past that I find amusing is the inevitable need for a  Comic Villain to monologue. This is brilliantly explained in the first Incredibles in this conversation between Mr. Incredible and Frozone: Frozone: So now I’m in deep trouble. I mean, one more jolt of this death ray and I’m an epitaph. Somehow I manage to find cover and what does Baron von Ruthless do? Mr. Incredible: He starts monologuing? ‘Tomb Raider’ Brings in Amy Jump to Write Sequel Script

$274.7 million dollars. That appears to be the magic number to get a sequel made. At least where Tomb Raider is concerned. The original 2001 Tomb Raider with Angelina Jolie made $274.7 million dollars in box office receipts. That inspired a 2003 sequel that did much worse, taking in only $156.5 million. With the drop in sales, the Tomb Raider franchise swung and jumped off the cliff…at least until 2018. That’s when Warner Bros. released a reboot for the franchise with Alicia Vikander as Lara Croft. This film didn’t do terribly but it didn’t do awesome business either. In fact, it

Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker Trailer Breakdown and Speculation

So we finally have it. The first teaser trailer for Star Wars episode 9 finally revealed to be titled The Rise of Skywalker. For a short teaser, it shows us quite a bit and gives us, even more, to speculate about. I’m going to break down what I think are some of the best or most important shots in the trailer and then we’ll theorize a little about what some of it could mean. Yes…we’re going to be talking about THAT laugh. Oh yes.   The trailer starts off with a shot of Rey standing on some desert planet. Now
