Amazon Prime’s Hanna premiered at the end of last month and brought the TV version of the 2011 movie to life. Joel Kinnaman, Mireille Enos, and Esme Creed-Miles starred in this action drama series, which you can read my review of here; and it seems like the character Hanna is going to have more time to kick ass, as the show has officially been renewed for a second season.
Albert Chang, the co-head of television for Prime, stated:
“We knew we had something unique with ‘Hanna,’ and with the added momentum from its special post-Super Bowl preview, Amazon Prime Video customers worldwide agreed. Since it debuted only ten days ago, Hanna has had a tremendous response, and we’re thrilled with not only how it has performed for us on the service, but with the action-packed world David Farr has created for the series and the stellar cast, led by Esmé Creed-Miles, Mireille Enos, and Joel Kinnaman. We’re excited to give fans a chance to see Hanna continue her journey on Amazon.”
Season two will most likely hit Amazon Prime in 2020 and in an attempt not to give away any spoilers, it will be interesting to see who comes back for the second go-around. Have you watched Hanna yet and are you happy it’s gotten a second season? Let us know!
