Annette Bening is a four-time Oscar nominee. Plainly put, she’s a fantastic actress. Now, it’s reported that she is in negotiations for 20th Century Fox’s Death on the Nile. Bening is in talks to play Euphemia in the Kenneth Branagh-directed film. It’s a follow up to his 2017 Agatha Christie adaptation, Murder on the Orient Express.
If Bening does become involved with the project, she will join Gal Gadot, Armie Hammer, Tom Bateman, Letitia Wright, and Branagh, who will reprise his role as detective Hercule Poirot. Michael Green is returning so to adapt the screenplay. Death on the Nile is based off of the 1937 novel by Christie. Judy Hofflund, Simon Kinberg, Ridley Scott, Kevin Walsh, and Mark Gordon are all producing.
Death on the Nile hits theaters October 9, 2020.
