What does The Sound of Music and Aquaman have in common? Julie Andrews apparently. Yes, according to EW, the highly acclaimed actress will have a guest spot in the upcoming DC film. Starring Jason Momoa, this film serves as both an origin story and then explaining what happened to Arthur Curry after the events of Justice League as he’s seeking to find his place in the two worlds he belongs to.
Andrews will voice Karathen, a mystic creature who holds the key for Arthur Curry’s quest in uniting the two worlds.
“We wanted the Karathen to have the voice of a classic British actress, albeit somewhat digitally altered. And when we found out Julie was interested and available and excited to do it, casting her was a no-brainer.” Aquaman producer Peter Safran explained about the decision to cast Andrews.
Aquaman will hit theaters December 21, 2019.
