Walking Dead’s Norman Reedus would love to play Ghost Rider or the Silver Surfer.

When Norman Reedus isn’t killing zombies in The Walking Dead, he is an avid motorcycle rider. Thus it comes as no surprise that if given a chance to play a Marvel character, he would play Ghost Rider or perhaps even the Silver Surfer. Reedus was asked which Marvel role he’d take during a recent Walker Stalker Cons: An Evening with Norman & Jeffrey’ event. These are events where he appears alongside Walking Dead co-star Jeffrey Dean Morgan to answer fan’s questions. He replied:   “Ghost Rider would be fun. Silver Surfer would be fun. Silver Surfer is awesome.” The connection to

‘Game of Thrones’: The Evolution of the Mountain, Pt.2

When we last got together, we had discussed the first actor who played The Mountain. After the first season of Game of Thrones was completed and as Season 2 approached, the casting for the “Mountain” became an issue as the actor who played the role (Conan Stevens) in Season 1 was working on other projects and was unavailable. Fortunately, they found a stopgap solution for Season 2 right on their set, as the “Mountain” saga continues (sounds like a soap opera intro): In Season 2, Ser Gregor is left to command Harrenhal in Tywin’s absence and to find and destroy

Michael Myers Has Changed According To Director In New ‘Halloween’

For a series that has went through 6 different films, you would think that the main character would have no mysteries left to solve. With the latest version of Halloween, Director David Gordon Green plans to bring back the mystery of the Michael Myers character the way it was when he first appeared. To accomplish this he has decided to not acknowledge some of the plot details shown in previous movies, including losing the idea of Jamie Lee Curtis character of Laurie Strode being Michael’s sister. Green in an interview with the L.A. Times explains: “Michael Myers hasn’t evolved as

Review: Kirby: King of Comics by Mark Evanier

With the recent outpouring of birthday wishes to the late great Jack “King” Kirby, it reminded me again that if you are a Kirby fan, and you want to learn about the history of the man who would become “The King,” you need to read Kirby: King of Comics by Mark Evanier. This book is a treasure trove of Kirby’s work starting from the beginning when he was Jack Kurtzberg, creating his portfolio and trying to find work, any work, to prove to his parents that he could make a living drawing. He ended up working for Will Eisner (before Eisner

The Return of Magneto and the Brotherhood of Evil Mutants

Fans of the X-Men from their beginning in the early 1960’s probably remember the original “Magneto and the Brotherhood of Evil Mutants.” This was Stan Lee and Jack Kirby’s creation to provide the first foils for their new mutant X-Men team. The original Brotherhood consisted of Magneto, the Master of Magnetism as the team’s leader. He was joined by two characters familiar to the Marvel Cinematic Universe with the Brother and Sister duo of Quicksilver and the Scarlet Witch. Another of the original members was the Toad.  His mutant power was the gift of an incredible jumping ability and he wore a medieval costume. He
