Despite such characters like Spider-Man and Doctor Strange turning into dust in Avengers: Infinity War, we do know that both are getting their own movies again after Endgame. Especially Spider-Man: Far From Home, which is scheduled only a few months after Avengers 4 will hit theaters. Peter Parker’s death in Infinity War was heartbreaking, but we know from the MCU schedule, plus behind the scenes photos and videos that everyone’s favorite neighborhood Spider-Man will be returning.
Supposedly, Sony insisted that there be a 2019 Spider-Man, which threw Marvel and Kevin Feige’s plans in a loop. Feige has often remained quiet about which characters will return from the dead and Marvel’s future plans, but it is hard to remain coy about a character, such as Spider-Man; who has already been confirmed to have a sequel.
Still, Feige declares that Endgame will change the course of the MCU:
“You start to think differently about how the characters are interacting, what character’s stories are coming to a close, and what character’s stories are only just beginning. Those stories will continue. I think they’ll continue in surprisingly different and unexpected ways after these two Avengers films.” Which characters will survive long enough to see the shift, though? No one knows just yet.”
Avengers: Endgame will hit theaters April 26, 2019.
