Synopsis

The stunning conclusion to the groundbreaking miniseries by the critically acclaimed team of writer Brian Azzarello and artist Lee Bermejo is here! Batman’s most baffling case brings him face to face with his worst nightmare in this highly anticipated finale!

Story

They are a lot of people that complain about seeing the same back story over and over again, including me. But, seeing a new perspective of the same back story is something I enjoy seeing and Brian Azzarello does just that.

Brian Azzarello character interaction are very intense, but also can be funny at times. A good example is an interaction between Swamp Thing and John Constantine. You can tell that both have a long history and there are more interactions like that in Batman Damned.

Art

Lee Bermejo does an incredible job hitting the magical/horror aspect of Batman Damned book three.  There is a specific panel where Zatanna is performing a specific spell that looks horrific, but at the same time gorgeous! Throughout Batman Damned Lee Bermejo makes everything look super realistic from the world design to the character design of Batman, Swamp Thing, and Zatanna. Everything in Batman Damned is visually stunning. That includes lettering from Jarod K. Fletcher and coloring.

Buy/Pass

At times the story can feel I bit slow, but it is filled with amazing character interaction and gorgeous art! Everyone should get Batman Damned! But if you want to wait for the whole story to finish out then you can definitely wait and buy it. The whole collection will be out on September 10, 2019.
