‘Green Lantern’ Film Getting New Script

Just a couple of months ago it was announced that Geoff Johns would be writing and producing the future Green Lantern Corps movie. Originally a script had been penned by David S. Goyer. This name should ring a bell if like myself you’re a huge fan of DC films in general. Goyer has served as a writer for the likes of The Dark Knight Trilogy, Man of Steel and Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice. This tradition looked set to continue as back in January of 2017 Goyer signed on as both co-writer and co-producer for the Green Lantern Corps

How Precious: Lord of the Rings TV Series Gets Writers

The highly anticipated return of Middle Earth is one step closer to being completed. Earlier today, Entertainment Weekly reported that JD Payne and Patrick McKay have been tasked with writing the scripts for the Lord of the Rings TV series, produced by Amazon. If you’re wondering who these guys are, they’re pretty new to the writing field, and have only done/are doing movies (Star Trek 4 and Jungle Cruise). As surprising as that may be, another hit show’s (and my personal favorite) writers first TV writing gig was writing for that show: Game of Thrones. Am I suggesting that instead

Classic ‘Iron Fist’ Look Debuts in Season 2 Trailer

For those of us who are old school traditionalist and admire the original costume our favorite heroes wore, we were rewarded when The Iron Fist Season 2 panel at the SDCC unveiled a look at the iconic yellow mask. Does that mean the green tights and yellow martial arts shoes are next? A guy can dream can’t he? Besides what good is a cool dragon tattoo if you can’t see it. Now with recently dropped teaser, we get a better look at it as Danny and Davos square off in a tradition fight in “Kun- Lun”. You can see the

‘The Punisher’ Season 2 Is Exactly What Fans Want, Marvel CCO Promises

The Punisher season 1 is still my favorite show in the Marel Netflix universe. After introducing Jon Bernthal’s Frank Castle in the second season of Daredevil, I knew that Castle’s solo series would be unlike any of the other Defenders universe shows. Gritty, raw, and explosive, The Punisher showcased the many different sides of its title character rather than just the violent soldier that we primarily saw in Daredevil. Of course, our favorite anti-hero was everything we wanted him to be, but seeing him as a friend, husband, and father was not something we were able to see before his own

Actress Rhona Mitra (The Strain) has been cast as Mercy Graves in the upcoming season for Supergirl according to Deadline. Mercy is the former bodyguard for Lex Luthor who is currently in prison. Also joining the cast is Robert Baker who will portray Mercy’s brother, Otis Graves. The last time we saw Mercy Graves on screen was 2016’s Batman v Superman and the role was played by Tao Okamoto. Rhona isn’t the only newcomer to this season, actor Sam Witwer has been cast to play Agent Liberty and David Ajala has been cast as Manchester Black.  Show regular Jeremy Jordan is

Superman is Important to WB Says Geoff Johns

Man of Steel came out over 5 years ago and fans are still wondering when they will get a sequel. You could make a case that Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice was a sequel since it does pick up directly after the events of Man of Steel, but it’s just not the same. BvS was just as much a Batman movie as it was a Superman film and fans want a traditional sequel to the film. Henry Cavill has gone on the record to say what story he would like to adapt and has even hinted at who he would

BREAKING: ‘Star Wars: Episode IX’ Officially Begins Production

It is official according to Walt Disney Studios and Lucasfilms, Star Wars: Episode IX has begin production. This latest film in the Star Wars saga will round out the new trilogy which began with J.J. Abrams The Force Awakens. The latest installment, The Last Jedi, by director Rian Johnson was met with huge amounts of backlash from the Star Wars fan community and is considered by some to be the worst Star Wars film ever made. Lucasfilm has once again asked director J.J. Abrams to helm the chair and restore balance to the force and the Galaxy. Abrams is writing the

‘Altered Carbon’ Renewed For a Second Season; Casts Antony Mackie as Lead

New season. New sleeve. Altered Carbon’s official twitter sent out today, announcing the renewal for a second season. The sci-fi show based on the book by Richard Morgan will return to Netflix with eight episodes, instead of the ten it had in season one. Premiering on February 2, 2018, this wildly imaginative show gauged mixed reactions, though; if you ask me, is definitely one of my favorites on the online streaming service. Primarily played by Joel Kinnaman, the show centers around Takeshi Kovacs as he awakes 250 years after originally being sentenced to a lifetime of being essentially decommissioned. We

Welcome Home X-Men! The Fox and Disney Deal Gets Approved

Cue the music! After a long and breath-holding journey, Disney and Fox have finally agreed upon a deal! For $71.3 billion dollars, Disney will purchase most of Rupert Murdoch’s media empire. Even though shareholders in six different countries still need to give their approval, this is a massive step for everyone, essentially shaking up the entertainment industry. If everything goes well, we will have a finalized deal in 2019. We had a moment where it seemed like this deal would not go through, with Comcast lurking in to potentially purchase Fox. Luckily, Comcast dropped out recently and the event we

Report: ‘Dark Phoenix’ and ‘New Mutants’ Still Happening

Yesterday the internet was sent into a frenzy as reports came out that FOX was going to scrap the upcoming X-Men: Dark Phoenix film and the New Mutants. That report came from a user on the SuperHeroHype forums who said he was an employee for the FOX company. None this information was ever validated and many came out saying this was untrue and that FOX still planned to release both films. One of those users was Jeremy Conrad with MCU Cosmic whom I follow on Twitter and can say that Jeremy has a pretty good track record when it comes to this
