Michael B. Jordan Says Killmonger Could Have Beaten Thanos

At the end of Infinty War, Thanos sat overlooking a countryside and smiled knowing he had accomplished what he set out to do. I imagine there was a bit of satisfaction  knowing he triumphed over the Avengers and Earth’s Mightiest Heroes to do it. If you ask Michael B. Jordan if Erik Killmonger would have made a difference, he in true Killmonger fashion, said yes.  “I think the one thing about Killmonger is he really plans his attacks, and they’re well thought out. So if he ever stepped in a situation with Thanos, he would feel confident that he had

I used to be good at the details: ‘Age of Ultron’

One of the first things to change when you get older, besides your hair, your waistline, and your sudden desire to go to bed early, is your attention to detail. It used to be one of the things I prided myself on. That an my razor sharp wit, but that is obvious. This was brought once again to my attention when watching Avengers: Age of Ultron. I admit it has been a bit since I last saw it and a lot of Avengers have gone under the bridge since then but there were details that I apparently missed. When Ultron

The Hypocrisy of Thanos

For those us who felt the need to re-familiarize yourself with the “Infinity Gauntlet” comic series in the hope to better understand “Infinity War,” you were probably left with more questions than answers. I know I was. The first thing you found out was that “Infinity Gauntlet” was only a continuation of a another series. Those clever folks at Marvel made sure you would have to obtain the Silver Surfer series to see how Thanos obtained the “soul stones,” which was how they were referred to in that story. Marvel had long since discovered what Steve Martin in The Jerk

Why Marvel Comics CCO Joe Quesada Thinks Comics Should Differ From Movies

There has long been a debate about how close comic based movies and television should adhere to the comics they are based on. It is Marvel Comics Chief Creative Officer Joe Quesada belief that for these stories to be told in a way that would be fresh and attract new audiences, it is important for comics and movies and television to embrace the need to stay truly separate. He explains that by narrowing your choices to the comic book canon, you limit what you can do and perhaps lose an audience that you could attract with some changes being made.

Lessons learned from “Ant-Man and the Wasp”

With the recent release Ant Man and the Wasp, we learned a few things. Ok, I learned a few things…picky, picky! (If you haven’t seen it yet, turn away now. Go on. Shoo!) Number one, we learn where Scott Lang was during the whole Infinity War saga. He was in house arrest for his involvement in the whole “Civil War” “Sokovia Accords” debacle in Germany. We also found out he is a great dad who will go out of his way to entertain his little girl. Who knew cardboard could make your house so much fun…unless your foot with the

If you’re going to “Crastinate,” be a Pro..

Do you remember the scene from the “Polar Express” where young Billy hesitates to get on the train and almost misses it? Fortunately for him, the “boy” (how come this kid doesn’t have a name?) pulls the emergency brake so he can get on. That my friends is an example of “procrastination.” I know all about procrastination. I started out as an amateur “crastinator” but thru the years I have become the “Pro” you WOULD see before you, if you were looking at me and not just reading this. Procrastination is why I have been a late comer to many

Relive the SNAP! Heard Around the MCU

With the upcoming digital release of Avengers: Infinity War, the remaining three people who haven’t watched it can see what the fuss was all about. Spoiler alert: “It’s over in a snap…which is pretty good for a movie that is two and a half hours long. For those of us who have seen it, we can once again enjoy the Hulk’s two minute appearance before he hides inside Banner like a broken whack-a-mole who refuses to come out. I guess after being the Grandmaster’s champion, it hurts the pride when you’re slapped about like Loki was in the Avengers. One wonders

Looking to the Future – Films and Television of 2019

It’s all over. The votes are in and looking ahead, 2019 might be the biggest year ever for geeks like myself. Some of the biggest (and in “Game of Thrones” case, most awarded) TV shows of all time are coming to a close next year. 2019 will mark the end of “Game of Thrones”, “Gotham”, and possibly “Marvel’s Agents of Shield.” It will also see the end of the “Infinity War”saga with release of “Avenger’s 4” (or whatever they end up calling it). Perhaps the title will be: “Avengers 4: The quest to bring back all of the heroes we

Welcome Home X-Men! The Fox and Disney Deal Gets Approved

Cue the music! After a long and breath-holding journey, Disney and Fox have finally agreed upon a deal! For $71.3 billion dollars, Disney will purchase most of Rupert Murdoch’s media empire. Even though shareholders in six different countries still need to give their approval, this is a massive step for everyone, essentially shaking up the entertainment industry. If everything goes well, we will have a finalized deal in 2019. We had a moment where it seemed like this deal would not go through, with Comcast lurking in to potentially purchase Fox. Luckily, Comcast dropped out recently and the event we
