Netflix’s Castlevania Returns For It’s 2nd Season

mllkatI am a 50 something child of the 70’s who admits to being a Star Trek/Star Wars/Comic Book junkie who once dove head first over a cliff (Ok, it was a small hill) to try to rescue his Fantastic Four comic from a watery grave. I am married to a lovely woman who is as crazy as I am and the proud parent of a 15 year old boy with autism. My wife and son are my real heroes. https://mllkat63.wordpress.com

Classic ‘Iron Fist’ Look Debuts in Season 2 Trailer

For those of us who are old school traditionalist and admire the original costume our favorite heroes wore, we were rewarded when The Iron Fist Season 2 panel at the SDCC unveiled a look at the iconic yellow mask. Does that mean the green tights and yellow martial arts shoes are next? A guy can dream can’t he? Besides what good is a cool dragon tattoo if you can’t see it. Now with recently dropped teaser, we get a better look at it as Danny and Davos square off in a tradition fight in “Kun- Lun”. You can see the

If you’re going to “Crastinate,” be a Pro..

Do you remember the scene from the “Polar Express” where young Billy hesitates to get on the train and almost misses it? Fortunately for him, the “boy” (how come this kid doesn’t have a name?) pulls the emergency brake so he can get on. That my friends is an example of “procrastination.” I know all about procrastination. I started out as an amateur “crastinator” but thru the years I have become the “Pro” you WOULD see before you, if you were looking at me and not just reading this. Procrastination is why I have been a late comer to many

‘The Punisher’ Season 2 Is Exactly What Fans Want, Marvel CCO Promises

The Punisher season 1 is still my favorite show in the Marel Netflix universe. After introducing Jon Bernthal’s Frank Castle in the second season of Daredevil, I knew that Castle’s solo series would be unlike any of the other Defenders universe shows. Gritty, raw, and explosive, The Punisher showcased the many different sides of its title character rather than just the violent soldier that we primarily saw in Daredevil. Of course, our favorite anti-hero was everything we wanted him to be, but seeing him as a friend, husband, and father was not something we were able to see before his own

Also joining the cast is Robert Baker who will portray Mercy’s brother, Otis Graves. The last time we saw Mercy Graves on screen was 2016’s Batman v Superman and the role was played by Tao Okamoto. Rhona isn’t the only newcomer to this season, actor Sam Witwer has been cast to play Agent Liberty and David Ajala has been cast as Manchester Black.  Show regular Jeremy Jordan is

‘Sin City’ Rights Revert Back To Frank Miller

After a legal settlement between Lantern Capital Partner and Frank Miller, Miller has regained the television rights to develop his 1991 Noir comic Sin City. Miller also regained  the film rights to the first 2005 Sin City film adaptation that starred Bruce Willis, Jessica Alba, and Mickey Rourke. The rights were originally tied up in the sale of Harvey Weinstein’s, The Weinstein Company, to Lantern Capital as part of his bankruptcy. Miller had objected to his work being part of the settlement so the parties worked out an arrangement where the TV rights and the first film would not be included and be transferred

Looking to the Future – Films and Television of 2019

It’s all over. The votes are in and looking ahead, 2019 might be the biggest year ever for geeks like myself. Some of the biggest (and in “Game of Thrones” case, most awarded) TV shows of all time are coming to a close next year. 2019 will mark the end of “Game of Thrones”, “Gotham”, and possibly “Marvel’s Agents of Shield.” It will also see the end of the “Infinity War”saga with release of “Avenger’s 4” (or whatever they end up calling it). Perhaps the title will be: “Avengers 4: The quest to bring back all of the heroes we

‘Altered Carbon’ Renewed For a Second Season; Casts Antony Mackie as Lead

New season. New sleeve. Altered Carbon’s official twitter sent out today, announcing the renewal for a second season. The sci-fi show based on the book by Richard Morgan will return to Netflix with eight episodes, instead of the ten it had in season one. Premiering on February 2, 2018, this wildly imaginative show gauged mixed reactions, though; if you ask me, is definitely one of my favorites on the online streaming service. Primarily played by Joel Kinnaman, the show centers around Takeshi Kovacs as he awakes 250 years after originally being sentenced to a lifetime of being essentially decommissioned. We

Andy Serkis’ ‘Mowgli’ To Debut On Netflix After Rights Deal

CainanCainan is a walking talking Superman fanboy since age 2! He has been a lover of movies since he could understand them which was probably around the age of 5. Geeking out to He-Man, G.I. Joe, Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles and just about every other Saturday morning cartoon. An old school action flick kind of guy, he grew up with Arnold, Stallone, and Willis keeping him company. He is also big into technology and video games. From the classic NES to the PS4, he has played them all. He runs the Geek Vibes Nation Twitter account and is also the

‘Supergirl’ Casts TV’s First Ever Transgender Superhero

While movies and television shows have been trying to rectify the lack of diversity, the representation of the transgender community needs a serious boost. That’s why the news that Supergirl has casted activist and actress Nicole Maines as tv’s first transgender superhero is such a great first step in the right direction. Having previously worked on Royal Pains, the news of Maines’ casting was revealed at the Supergirl SDCC panel on Sunday. The actress’s character will be Nia Nal, a new addition at CatCo, who is a fierce and driven reporter. Nia will be a voice for the discriminated against
