Netflix’s original series Cursed, which will begin production this month; has cast some fantastic actors to this Frank Miller project. Cursed will be based on Miller and Tom Wheeler’s upcoming illustration book, which is the re-imagining of the Arthurian legend, which will be told by a young woman, who becomes the “Lady of the Lake”. This series will explore familiar themes such as “obliteration of the natural world”, religious oppression, and senseless war. Zetna Fuentes of Ray Donovan and Jessica Jones is set to direct, which Miller and Wheeler will serve as executive producers.
Cursed brings in Katherine Langford (who will play the young woman who tells the story), Devon Terrel from Barry, Gustaf Skarsgard from Westworld and Vikings, Peter Mullan from Ozark, Lily Newmark from Temple, Shalom Brun-Franklin from The State, Danie Sharman from Dear the Walking Dead, Sebastian Armesto from Poldark, Emily Coates from Flack, Catherine Walker from Versailles and Billy Jenkins from the Crown.
I’m most excited for Skarsgard’s casting, as Vikings is ending soon and it’s unclear if he’ll return to Westworld for its third season, this is a good way to have Skarsgard still on our screens.
Cursed will have 10 episodes. We’ll let you know as soon as it gets a released date!
