With today’s announcement of the removal of Kevin Tsujihara as WB Entertainment’s CEO, the Warner Media Group has moved with haste to set up an interim leadership team until such time that a permanent replacement can be selected. As reported by Variety, this will consist of Warner Bros. motion pictures group chairman Toby Emmerich, Warner Bros. television group president and CCO Peter Roth, and at least one other top executive. Those who are familiar with the company believe that the leadership group will include at least one female executive.
While WarnerMedia had no initial comment on the situation, it is believed that CEO John Stankey is currently heading from corporate headquarters in New York to Los Angeles to formally announce the interim leadership team. This is according to multiple sources as reported to Variety.
