When you think of John Carpenter’s original Horror Classic Halloween, certain things come to mind. The Shape, Jamie Lee Curtis, and the iconic music. When you hear the initial theme, you know what is coming. With the new Halloween approaching theaters next month, Carpenter, who once again is handling the movie’s score along with Cody Carpenter and Daniel Davies, has released the first cut from the movies soundtrack.
Carpenter co-wrote the original film with Debra Hill, in addition to directing and composing the film’s score. 40 years later, we come full circle and the music still invokes the same chills. It reflects the original Halloween theme while adding other elements to once again plunge the audience into the world of the “shape.” Hence the name: “The Shape Returns.”

I am a 50 something child of the 70’s who admits to being a Star Trek/Star Wars/Comic Book junkie who once dove head first over a cliff (Ok, it was a small hill) to try to rescue his Fantastic Four comic from a watery grave. I am married to a lovely woman who is as crazy as I am and the proud parent of a 15 year old boy with autism. My wife and son are my real heroes.
