New ‘Punisher’ Trailer Reveals Season 2 Official Debut Date

There isn’t much left to root for when it comes to Marvel Netflix since the sudden cancellation of Iron Fist, Daredevil and Luke Cage but luckily we are getting a second season of The Punisher. Today Netflix dropped the season 2 date announcement trailer which you can check out below. Jon Bernthal returns as the titular character on January 18 along with Ben Barnes as Billy Russo, Amber Rose Revah, Jason R. Moore, and Deborah Ann Woll as Karen Page. Josh Stewart has been cast as villain John Pilgrim.

Netflix has also released some new images for season 2 which you can see here. The new images focus on Jon Bernthal in full Punisher gear as well as a look at Ben Barnes ‘Jigsaw’.

Synopsis: Former marine-turned-vigilante Frank Castle (Jon Bernthal) has been living a quiet life on the road until he suddenly becomes embroiled in the attempted murder of a young girl (Giorgia Whigham). As he is drawn into the mystery surrounding her and those in pursuit of the information she holds, Castle attracts a new target on his back as new and old enemies force him to confront whether he should accept his destiny and embrace a life as “The Punisher.”

Steve Lightfoot (Hannibal) serves as showrunner, writer and executive producer. The cast also features Ben Barnes (Billy Russo), Amber Rose Revah (Dinah Madani), Jason R. Moore (Curtis), Josh Stewart (John Pilgrim), and Floriana Lima (Dr. Krista Dumont).
