Nick Fury and Maria Hill Go Looking For Captain Marvel in Prelude

By now, we’ve all seen Avengers: Infinity War and hopefully, Ant-Man and The Wasp. We’re all familiar with what happened once Thanos snapped his fingers together, after collecting all the infinity stones. With any Marvel film, you have to stay until after the credits and in Infinity War, we saw that not even Nick Fury and Maria Hill were safe. Right before turning to dust, Fury was able to send a transmission out and as we saw, it was Captain Marvel who received the call.

We already know Nick is in Captain Marvel’s solo film, which will take place in the 90s and explain how the former SHIELD director came to know Carol Danvers. Now, we’ll also have a prelude one-shot comic strip, featuring both Nick Fury and Maria Hill. In preparation for Captain Marvel’s movie, Marvel’s Captain Marvel Prelude serves as an adventure for us to see what directly led to calling on Captain Marvel.

“Before Carol Danvers takes flight in 2019’s first Marvel Studios film, immerse yourself in this all-new adventure! Spinning out of the mysterious events of Avengers: Infinity War, Nick Fury and Maria Hill set off on life-or-death missions that lead directly to the appearance of Captain Marvel!”

This prelude is drawn by Andrea Di Vito and written by Will Corona Pilgrim, the creative director of research and development for Marvel Studios.

Captain Marvel comes to theaters March 8, 2019, which if you didn’t know, is International Women’s Day and the same day this year that Jessica Jones premiered its second season.

Avengers 4 will come out May 3, 2019, where hopefully, Captain Marvel will kick Thanos’s ass.
