Law & Order: SVU Will Return on September 26

Law & Order: SVU is not only the longest running series in the Law & Order franchise, but the longest cable-network show with twenty-one seasons. The Dick Wolf show is a binge-worthy obsession for many, including myself. We’ll have another new season to watch Olivia Benson and her squad take down bad guys. With everything happening in the world, it’ll be interesting to see what real-life stories the show takes inspiration from to adapt. The Twitter page has announced that Law & Order: SVU will return for our viewing pleasure September 26of this year. These cases won’t crack themselves. Season

Philip Winchester Will Not Return for Law & Order: SVU Season 21

Law & Order: SVU has officially been renewed for a 21st season – making history as it becomes the longest-running prime-time television show. We’re all thankful to see our favorites characters returning to continue their story, but it seems like one will not be joining the others. Philip Winchester debuted his character ADA Peter Stone on SVU in the middle of season 19, replacing Raul Esparza’s popular Rafael Barba’s shoes. The character had crossed over from the now-canceled Chicago Justice and along with congratulating the team on SVU’s renewal, Winchester announced his departure from the show. Sadly for me, Peter

Actor Spotlight: Jacob Pitts

You enjoyed Justified, didn’t you? It was a great show that premiered for six seasons on FX, featuring Timothy Olyphant as the main character Raylan Givens in a modern-day Western of sorts. But, you know who was truly a great character on that show that was not utilized enough? Jacob Pitts as Tim Gutterson. The former sniper who never missed was full of snark and sass and while he gave us gold every time he was on the screen, there was a serious lack of Tim throughout the seasons. Pitts has been acting for some time, ever since 1999 with

Actor Spotlight: Corey Stoll

There’s an actor who has a long list of movies and television shows under his belt, has been in some well-known and successful projects, but doesn’t seem to be a household name. Who is this actor I’m speaking of? Well, it’s Corey Stoll. Still don’t know who I’m talking about? He’s been in movies alongside the likes of Charlize Theron, Liam Neeson, Johnny Depp, Angelina Joelie, and Tina Fey. He recently portrayed villain Darren Cross in Ant-Man and Buzz Aldrin in 2018’s First Man, alongside Neil Armstrong. Stoll’s filmography dates back to 2004, but perhaps some of the best-known works

Law & Order: LA, Should It Have Been Canceled?

In 2010, Dick Wolf’s famous and lucrative franchise broke away from the tried and true New York format and moved Law & Order to Los Angeles. Only lasting one season, it became the second in the Law & Order series to be canceled after one season, the first being Trial by Jury; although LA got 22 episodes while Trial by Jury got only 13. Starring Skeet Ulrich as Detective Rex Winters for the first half of the season, Corey Stoll played Detective Tomas “TJ” Jaruszalski, Alfred Molina portrayed Deputy District Attorney Ricardo Morales (turned LAPD detective), as Terrence Howard played ADA

NBC Orders New Law & Order Spin-Off: Hate Crimes

Some Law & Order shows are more successful than others. While Trial by Jury and Los Angeles only had one season, Criminal Intent had ten, the original Law & Order had 20, and the current show Law & Order: Special Victims Unit is going strong into its twentieth season with no signs of stopping. Even the Chicago spinoffs from Dick Wolf, such as Chicago Fire, Chicago PD, and Chicago Med are all doing well. So, it couldn’t be a more perfect time to introduce another spin-off show on NBC, which will be Law & Order: Hate Crimes. NBC has ordered
