‘Jupiter’s Legacy’ Begins Production for Netflix

With the success of Netflix’s Marvel TV series, it’s next entry in the Superhero genre, an adaptation of Mark Millar and Frank Quitely’s Image Comics Jupiter’s Legacy has begun production. Executive producer Steven S. DeKnight, announced his first day by posing a question on Twitter and then having one of the characters from Jupiter’s Legacy respond: “First day in the room with the writers for Jupiter’s Legacy. Netflix and Serkis Agree to bring George Orwell’s Animal Farm to the Big Screen

  With the ink barely dry on the contract that Netflix signed with Andy Serkis to acquire his film rights to Mowgli, they have once again teamed up with Serkis and acquired the rights to the George Orwell novel Animal Farm. Serkis will direct a performance-capture film with 6th & Idaho’s Matt Reeves, and Rafi Crohn. Zombie Series ‘Black Summer’ Coming to Netflix

According to Deadline via ComicBook.com, the streaming giant has ordered an eight episode zombie series. The series titled Black Summer will star Jaime King (Sin City). The series will be created and run by Karl Schaefer and John Hyams who both worked together on the Syfy series Z Nation.
