If there is one thing Arnold Schwarzenegger has learned over his career in movie making, it never benefits a project to speak badly about it. Especially when you are headlining the film and when the series has struggled in the past to reconnect to audiences. Thus when Arnold told The Arnold Fans this about Terminator: Dark Fate:
I’ve seen 15 minutes and it looked great and I was very excited about it.
You need to put it in the perspective that speaking in negative terms at this early stage would be detrimental to both the film and himself. If there’s one thing proven, Arnold is not stupid. In fact, he was quick to share why he thought this picture would be different than the last Terminator film, Terminator: Genisys.
It was a very interesting film to do with Tim [Miller]… the dynamic, between him and with Jim Cameron producing. So Jim Cameron is right now directing Avatar films so he’s taken on this enormous challenge and he’s very busy with that BUT he’s a control freak and as you know, Terminator is kind of his baby. So he does get involved in the filming…I feel it was in good hands with both of them.
With the many stop and starts over the years with the Terminator franchise, let’s hope that Arnold is correct and the team of Miller, Cameron, Schwarzenegger and Hamilton can pull this together. Does Arnold’s enthusiasm give you hope or are you one of the “Let’s wait and see what happens” moviegoer? Share your hopes for Terminator: Dark Fate with us at GVNation.
