Season 2 of Krypton has not even debuted yet and news is coming down from The Hollywood Reporter that Emmett J. Scanlan who was cast as Lobo, is getting his own series. EP Cameron Welsh is said to be serving as executive producer and writer. THR also is reporting that SYFY would like to get a deal closed with Scanlan as soon as possible to get started on the pilot. Krypton season 2 will mark the first time Lobo has appeared in live action.
Talks of a Lobo film featuring Michael Bay were reported some time back but with Warner Bros going through the motions after the merger with AT&T and their new direction with their DC Universe, there is no certainty that the film will ever be made. We spoke with Emmett in an exclusive interview a few weeks back and he told us he has always been a fan of Lobo ever since he saw the Marvel/DC crossover comic where Lobo fought Wolverine in a bar.

Cainan is a walking talking Superman fanboy since age 2! He has been a lover of movies since he could understand them which was probably around the age of 5. Geeking out to He-Man, G.I. Joe, Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles and just about every other Saturday morning cartoon. An old school action flick kind of guy, he grew up with Arnold, Stallone, and Willis keeping him company. He is also big into technology and video games. From the classic NES to the PS4, he has played them all. He runs the Geek Vibes Nation Twitter account and is also the main point of contact for booking guests for the podcast shows.
