For two seasons, Adrianne Palicki and Nick Blood tore up the screen and occasionally, the sheets as former married Agents Bobbi Morse and Lance Hunter in Marvel’s Agents of Shield. They left the show after an episode that made them leave Shield to maintain their spy covers when they got caught up in a Russian conspiracy. The original plan was for the actors to branch out in a spin-off show called: America’s Most Wanted. The pilot was made but unfortunately, ABC decided they would pass on the show. This left the characters of Bobbi and Lance floating in limbo in the MCU.
Fortunately for Palicki, she has found a place in Seth MacFarlane’s The Orville as his ex-wife and first officer. Nick Blood had an opportunity to reprise his role as Lance Hunter in a season 5 episode of Agents of Shield. Now Palicki would like her shot at making a return. In a recent interview with TV Line, Palicki was asked if she would like to return to the show.
Listen, if they ask me to come back, I would absolutely come back. I was like, “Nick [Blood] came back [for a season 5 episode] — what the hell, guys?”
Palicki also gave a little insight into what fans might have expected from America’s Most Wanted:
We were mercenaries, yeah. It’s kind of an extension of what we were dealing with before, where we, like, ended up trying to get married again and all hell breaks loose because people are after us. Ultimately it’s us just kind of fighting for our lives.
As it stands now, Agents of Shield has just finished filming season 6 and is expected to start production on season 7 in the near future. With those prospects, it appears that Palicki will not be making an appearance anytime soon. That is a shame because she and Blood made for a great team during their two seasons on the cast. Only time and perhaps Season 7 will tell the tale.
